Temperature Variation of Debye-Waller Factor for Alkali and Noble Metals
نویسندگان
چکیده
Debye-Waller factors at different t empera tures of four alkali and three noble metals have been computed on the basis of a screened shell phenomenologica l model . T h e theoretical values are compared with existing experimental data . Part icularly for l i th ium and potassium, most recent experimental information has been included. A critical examina t ion of the results reveals a satisfactory agreement between the theoretical and exper imental f indings.

Lattice Parameters and Debye Temperature of Naclx Nabry-X Kcl1-
Mixed crystals of alkali halides find applications in optical, optoelectronics and electronic devices. In the present study the pure and mixed crystals of NaClx NaBry-x KCl1-y were grown from the aqueous solution. The grown crystals were characterized by taking XRD, TG/DTA and Vicker’s hardness measurement. The Debye temperature is an important parameter of a solid. Several methods of evaluatin...
متن کاملAn embedded-atom-method model for alkali-metal vibrations.
We present an embedded-atom-method (EAM) model that accurately describes the vibrational dynamics in the alkali metals Li, Na, K, Rb and Cs. The bulk dispersion curves, frequency-moment Debye temperatures and temperature-dependent entropy Debye temperatures are all in excellent agreement with experimental results. The model is also well suited for studying surface vibrational dynamics in these...
متن کاملXAFS Debye-Waller Factors Temperature-Dependent Expressions for Fe-Porphyrin Complexes
We present an efficient and accurate method for directly calculating single and multiple scattering X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) thermal Debye-Waller factors for Fe –porphiryn complexes. The number of multiple scattering Debye-Waller factors on metal porphyrin centers exceeds the number of available parameters that XAFS experimental data can support during fitting with simulated spect...
متن کاملDebye - Waller factor in solid 3 He and 4
The Debye-Waller factor and the mean-squared displacement from lattice sites for solid He and He were calculated with path-integral Monte Carlo at temperatures between 5 and 35 K, and densities between 38 and 67 nm. It was found that the mean-squared displacement exhibits finite-size scaling consistent with a crossover between the quantum and classical limits of N and N, respectively. The tempe...
متن کاملOn the Equation of State of Solid and Liquid Alkali Metals
It is shown that high temperature experimental P-V-T data for alkali metals contain information that permits calculation of the 0 K compression isotherm for the bolid, and P-V relations for the liquid which could be interpreted as O K compression isotherms for a supercooled liquid. It appears that the 0 K isotherms for liquids and solids coincide within experimental and calculational errors exc...
